What 2017 Has Taught Me According To My Instagram
2017 was the year that kicked my ass really good. Of course, it had Ups and Down like every year does, but those Ups weren’t high enough and Downs not as low to freak out & lose my shit.
Since New Year - new start is just around the corner, I decided to recall some of my memories and what if not Instagram is the best tool to do it.
In January, Pretty Ugly team had first ever collaboration as a team. It has thought me how important communication and teamwork is. It was a nice experience and I am still in love with the result.
In February, I went to Berlin and survived a whole night in Berhain (for those who doesn’t know - I rarely go out, especially clubbing, usually never, but after this experience I learned that sometimes it's nice to stay OUT of your bed and move a little. ).
Lucky enough, the next month, March, I travelled to Milan & spent a week with a long lost close friend catching up, laughing and eating ice cream. Friendship plays a very important role in my life and every day, I'm grateful for all the amazing people in my life who I can call friends. <3
In April, an interview of Pretty Ugly gals was published in the biggest Lithuanian fashion magazine. Needless to say, it was a big moment for all of us - hard work always pays off .
In May, while celebrating our creative director’s happy birthday, we went on a water bike ride around the lake and got sunstrokes. That day we learned the importance of headwear.
June was the month I went on a very first road trip to Budapest. While my travel buddies were working, I had some solo time and faced my fear to travel alone & tried HOP ON HOP OFF bus tour and it was one of the most fun touristy experiences ever!
In July I’ve cut my hair short. Because why not?
In August I had an opportunity to see a meteor shower and the moon from a closer view. Those images will stay in my heart (and Instagram) forever as a reminder that you don't need to wait to for a falling star to make a wish - you need a fucking meteor shower & dream big.
September was the time when my cousin, who was always like a sister to me, got married. There were so much love and happiness that I think I’ve never been happier for someone else in my life.
In October, I spent my last sunny, warm days at the seaside, again, wondering around and laughing because after all, this is what actually matter.
In November, I started working on a new exciting project. It’s still a secret, but soon I will let you know more! Nothing can boost your creativity more than new big projects.
In December I came back to Italy, fell madly in love with the mountains & turned 24 - the age when I stopped running & realized that it's never too late for anything.
What a crazy and exciting year it was.
And even if we only see the good side of life on social media, shall it be a reminder to be thankful for all of those precious moments.
Thank you for being with me. I wish you all a very happy New Year.
